Good beer - simple quality food - great ambience. If you don't want a full on meal but want to eat then go here. Think 'sharing boards' and simple 'small plates' for sharing. Next door(ish) to the Everyman theatre it has a creative crowd and is chilled, friendly and happy.

On Hope Street in the city centre. Amazing craft ales and very special gins. Food served also. A fairly large space but relaxed atmosphere. Lots of bars and places to eat on Hope St so it's a great place to start.

Top Ten Bar is a relaxed basement bar and (if you feel peckish) canteen, has been packed out ever since opening. The reputation of its owners, who ran the Everyman Bistro, clearly precedes them.

Super close – Lots of good drinks on offer (great place to go for a social social) – food is good, but beware of small plates at high prices.
