Absolute favorite place to get a drink in the city. A true Austin original (one of the few left). A no frills dive bar with a great jukebox, live music (Donn himself plays on Tuesdays and Fridays), and friendly bartenders. Get yourself a Lonestar beer and sit back and watch the dancefloor fill up!

Donn's is the absolute best dive bar if you're looking for live music and a little swing or two-step dancing. It's located inside of an old train depot with cheap drinks, twinkly lights, and a hoppin' dance floor.

How to describe Donn's ... hmmm. It's in a boxcar that features Christmas lighting year-round, along with live music and dancing most nights - as well as a decidedly eclectic crowd, both young and old. It's not far from Deep Eddy, so if you're in the mood to hit some old-school Austin dive bars where actual locals go, both are highly recommended.
