If you are a museum person, this colonial art museum is recommended. I advice you visit both museums, this one and the City Museum which is also on this guidebook. They are close to one another and the walk is enjoyable.

On the southern side of the Plaza de la Catedral, exactly opposite the church, stands one mansion which is today the Museo de Arte Colonial with a wide collection of colonial art, including furniture, glasswork and porcelain.

El Museo de Arte Colonial se encuentra ubicado en los alrededores de la Plaza de la Catedral, en La Habana Vieja, en lo que en otros tiempos fuera el Palacio de los Condes de Casa Bayona. Se trata de una antigua mansión construida en el año 1720 por el gobernador del país, don Luis Chacón, luego de dar en matrimonio a su hija, al primer Conde de Casa Bayona.
