Located approximately 40 minutes in Orange, Va, Montpelier is the home to our 4th President, James Madison and first First Lady, Dolly Madison. From 2003-2008, the Montpelier Foundation restored the home from the Dupont's 86 room mansion to a 36 room 1810's Madison dwelling. Check out the formal walled gardens!

The home of James Madison has been restored to its original look. It is a great history tour plus there are now walking trails on the property. They have also added a cafe.
