this is the memorial for the victims of the inner German wall. the river, called that teltowkanal, was the inner German border. many people were shot and killed at the end inner German border and countless families were separated in a shameful manner. my family as well, which will forget remain a very deep pain in my heart. here at this remember I really can remember the courageous people who tried to flee the inhuman communist regime of the former DDR. please also go to Mauerpark memorial which is is really done very well.
