Hardware stores may not be important to you, but for me they are crucial. This one is nothing special on the outside but they carry a lot of hard-to find parts and supplies.

This is a locally owned hardware store where you can find just about anything you need for minor repairs and project. They also make keys. Located in Hampden off Chestnut.
