Experience the Africa hidden in Colombia
We will take a cultural walk around the Palenqe of Benkos, off the beaten path, where you will be immersed in the Africa hidden in Colombia. We named it Black Legacy Experience, because it is definitely an essential place for our black history in Colombia. This town hosts a sort of spin off of Cartagena's history in timeline. We are new in Airbnb, but you can check out a bit of our trajectory on IG @blacklegacyexperiences We’ll pick you up, and here begins our journey. We’ll be on the road for around 60 minutes. There, we meet our friend, the native guide and we start our walk. We visit meaningful spots such as the monuments of Benkos Biohó (the town founder) and Kid Pambelé (World Boxing Champion) and the Traditional medicine yard, among others. After that, we conclude with a glorious traditional lunch. We also learn some words in their language as we tell you the story, so you'll be able to greet natives and you'll receive, not only their greeting back, but also their smiles. So, be prepared to interact and experience this community of resistant and warm people. BTW: We manage this experience by private circles for your safety and comfort, so please check your price depending on the number of people you’re coming with. Applies for solo, couple or group travelers. Any questions, DO NOT hesitate to contact us. Sigifredo Calvo is our friend and vehicle provider

This city is pulsing with creative energy. It is home to a thriving music scene where tango, jazz, candombe, classical, Argentine folk and electronic music all swirl. Meet and hang out with the musicians. We’ll also provide tasty elixirs (such as Cynar & Fernet) to accompany the music. Feel the camaraderie that comes from sharing live music together!

Mate experience, tasting, ritual and sharing
Mate is much more than an infusion for Argentines. Mate is about sharing and making friends. Mate is ritual, it is intimacy and family. It has a specific way of preparing it that comes from the natives of these lands and it is done in the form of a ritual. We invite you to be part of a mate ritual, just like we do every day. We will gather around a table to begin the mate ritual. With an introductory talk, we will tell you about the origin of mate, the legends about mate and what it means for Argentines through our personal experiences. Next, we will provide you with all the necessary elements to prepare a good mate, we will explain how the mate is prepared, all the specific rules that are followed in the mate rituals, as well as the different variations it contains. Then we will get to work, each one preparing their own mate, under our supervision and accompaniment. Then you will have a mate prepared by yourselves. We are going to try different types of mate, mate with herbs, sweet mate, cooked mate and even tereré. Always accompanied by the typical Argentine biscuits that we accompany with mate. *Many times a friend of the house delights us with live piano or guitar music. Anything can happen!!!

¡Bienvenido a Oaxaca!
Snorkel with Turtles-FREE Videos
Free Videos, Guided Beginner Tour! Don't know how to swim? That's ok, I specialize in taking beginners out! We will meet for check in at Escambron Beach Park (type into maps or Uber). Once you enter Escambron Beach park's main entrance, you will pass the guard shack(if you are driving you will need to pay for Parking) and continue straight down the road to the very end of the parking lot to the left. Once you arrive, you will see a a red Kiosk and snorkeling equipment. Please check in there 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Once checked in, I will go over a safety briefing and information on the sea life we will encounter. The tour will begin in the shallows where we will be trying on equipment and once comfortable we will begin snorkeling around the famous Escambron Marine park. Make sure you keep an eye out for all of the different sea life at our dive site. Because we are viewing sea life in the ocean not an aquarium, we cannot guarantee you will see sea turtles, however, majority of the time we do. Other things to note This tour was designed for any level of diver, from non swimmers to olympic gold medalists. Make sure you wear your swimwear, bring water, sunscreen and a towel. I do have a place to store your bags while on the tour.
