The Batak Reservoir is located in the Rhodope Mountains and is the third-largest in Bulgaria. It attracts many tourists and fishers, and the resort Tsigov Chark was built on its shore. The lake is situated around 8 km away from Batak's historic town from which it took its name. The dam is positioned at around 1,100 m above sea level. The reservoir area is surrounded by mountain and forest areas.

Snezhanka (Bulgarian: "Snow White") is a show cave in the Rhodope Mountains, 5 km away from Peshtera, southern Bulgaria. It was discovered in 1961. The cave is 145 meters long, with a constant annual temperature of 8 °C, and was formed by the Novomahlenska River 3.5 million years ago.

Snezhanka (Bulgarian: "Snow White") is a show cave in the Rhodope Mountains, 5 km away from Peshtera, southern Bulgaria. It was discovered in 1961. The cave is 145 meters long, with a constant annual temperature of 8 °C, and was formed by the Novomahlenska River 3.5 million years ago.
It's an excellent walk from my cottage to the "Saint Constantine" resort. The walk is around 2 hours.

Batashki Snezhnik is the highest peak in the municipality of Batak, as well as the largest protected area in the municipality (1054 ha)

Tsepina was a castle and town in the western Rhodope mountains, southern Bulgaria, now in ruins. It is 6 kilometers from the Dorkovo village in the north-eastern part of the Chepinska valley. The town was built on a steep height at 1,136 meters above sea level. Its outer walls have been closed an area of 25 decares and dominated by a citadel at the cliff's top. The foundations of three churches have been excavated, and four large water storage tanks up to 10 meters deep.

The town Bratsigovo established in the 16th-17th century. The town is developing as a balneological centre. There is a cold mineral water spring (18-26 C) with the flow rate of 120 litres per minute at a distance of 500 metres west of it.
