Things to see in Batak: The "Sveta Nedelya" church in Batak is a pantheon of the Bulgarian sacrifice for freedom. It has become a symbol of the struggles for national freedom and has a huge historical mission: to educate Bulgarian national self-consciousness and national spirit. Another landmark in the town is the church "Sveta Bogoridica" - one of the biggest temples in the Pazardzhik region. Its iconostasis is over 10 m long and 6 wide.
