Small mostly, take-out place for breakfast tacos! They are bigger and better than most places around here. There are a few patio tables if you want to eat there. Nothing fancy. My favorite taco is the "trash can" .

Parks or history - some in city limits - some places within an hour or so drive.
Great walking trails in nature or you can take your bike. Check out the RL Tobin Land Bridge. There is another entrance that is closer to our home - just not shown well on the map furnished. See the land bridge that crosses over Wurzbach pkwy connecting two park sections.

Go to the heritage museum. It shows all the cultures that existed in Texas. (I may not be using the right name - just ask the parking attendant - you can't miss it).
Great for Historical fans.

Pretty 1.5 hr drive or less - near Fredericksburg, TX. A pretty easy climb but a good walk. No gear needed. Walk up a big outcrop of granite. On some days the park can be at capacity - so you may want to buy a day ticket ahead of time during peak season.
