Even if you aren't a bookworm, you can enjoy a well-curated display of shells. The Bailey National Shell Museum is for the top shell enthusiasts, but if you would like a condensed (and free) version just visit the entrance lobby of the library. They also have printers for use as well!

A beautiful island-stilt building with extensive native landscaping on Sanibel Island (not Pine Island). Near Sanibel Historical Museum and Village. Excellent bike path nearby. Bike rentals on island, Periwinkle Way.
