best view of downtown mall and lakefront from the large windows of the special collections rooms. amazing architecture, get there via the healthline and walk through the Old Arcade to arrive at the library's entrance.

The main library is huge and includes the historic original building with art deco features and the new addition anchored by a reading garden in the middle. Steps from Public Square.

It is known as "the people's library." My former architect guests have told me that this library has incredibly friendly librarians and staff and that it is worth a visit!
