This is the best place for swimming in the City. There is no beach right at the point but there are two great ones just to the south. On the North Side of the Point are places where you can stand while in the water. The south side has some ladders to get out of the water and is a favorite spot for open swimming.

Hyde Park's most beautiful spot. This lakeside park gvies you a stunning view of the Chicago skyline (you will recognise it from TV shows and souvernirs!) and of the southern shore. You can sit on the rocks for a picnic and a talk with friends, lie on the grass with a book, grill in one of the huge fire pits until late at night, and swim in the bristling waters of Lake Michigan. Many garee this is the best lakeside spot in the city.
