You can access the trail at Heyburn state park or Harrison. Great flat bike ride.

The Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes is one of the most spectacular trails in the western United States. It was named one of the 25 top trails in the nation in 2012 by the Rails to Trails Conservancy. The trail runs for 72 miles on smooth asphalt that is perfect for road bikers, in-line skaters, and walkers.

The 72 mile trail of the Coeur d’Alenes runs along Railroad Avenue in both directions and is a paved multi-use trail, easy walking, roller blading, biking etc. Turning right, you can ride or walk to Wallace and it ends in Mullan, Idaho. Turning left will take you along the CDA river, the chain lakes, eventually along Lake CDA and through the Indian reservation.
