The oldest operational lighthouse in the world. Tours of the lighthouse every 30 minutes. Excellent cafe for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea. Amazing views from the cafe, great walks around the lighthouse. Fabulous whatever the weather, even on a stormy day. Do the circular walk from the lighthouse to Slade Harbour, and then back along the road to the lighthouse, takes about 1 hour (not wheelchair accessible as there are stiles to cross).

A haunting reminder of our ancestors' struggles during the famine of the 1840s. I will admit that I cried during my first visit and every visit since...not to be missed.
