Awesome hike with spectacular views, varied landscaping, little elevation gain, and kid friendly trail. Also, remnants of the flumes of the late 1800s still around the trail. Great history for kids. Look up on Trails.com and/or Tahoe Weekly.

Best local dive bar with a menu and food quality that exceeds the dive bar expectations. Friendly staff and patrons. Locals like it here. Don't go if you are grumpy or don't want to interact. :-)
