My favorite authentic Turkish restaurant in Mannheim. They have a large outside terrace on the Marktplatz which is great on sunny days. It’s only a 5 minute walk from the apartment and is great value.

On the banks of the river Rhein and on the edge of the palace gardens, it is a hard place to beat for an atmosphere and view. If I want to eat German food, this is the place I would go.

There are a lot of great Italian restaurants in Mannheim, but for the cozy atmosphere, this is my favorite. Ask for a local wine, but take care on the way home, the city grid system can be tricky!

The all you can eat lunchtime buffet cannot be beaten. You can find me here at least once per week! Great food, friendly atmosphere and only 7.90 EUR including a drink. Weekdays 1100-1430.
