Glendalough is both historic and beautiful. It has two of the most beautiful lakes in Ireland which are surrounded by greenery and mountains, which led to it being called ‘Valley of Two Lakes’. The monastic site was founded in the 6th century by St. Kevin. (45 minute drive).

The tour also features the world famous Temple of Isis located in the old castle dungeons. The Castle of Ireland offers a fabulous woodland playground, as well as a charming tearoom and gift shop. Huntington Castle is set on over 160 acres of gardens, woodland and farmland. The Castle of Ireland features a fascinating guided tour which explains its 17th-century history. The tour also features the world famous Temple of Isis located in the old castle dungeons. The Castle of Ireland offers a fabulous woodland playground, as well as a charming tearoom and gift shop. (24 km).

Rathwood is a 20 minute drive from the Laurels and is well worth a visit. You will find two restaurants on site, an indoor play centre, a mini fairground with rides and the famous Rathwood Train. You will also find everything from clothing and toys to garden furniture.
