My favourite places to eat.
In order by distance from my apartment, some literally across the road but all within short walking distance up to the Finnieston area which is very hip and well worth a wander down to grab a drink and soak up the bohemian atmosphere.

Artisan coffee shop tucked off Byres Road, if Starbucks doesn't do it for you then try this place which serves coffee the way it should be brewed. Worth grabbing a seat outside (in the sun hopefully) to soak up the west end vibe and savour tour choice of perfectly brewed coffee and a home baked cake.

This place proudly won a Michelin star and put Glasgow firmly back on the food map after many years of Glasgow not having any restaurants at this level. Well worth booking in advance for a table if you can.

Take a trip back in time to this traditional cafe with over 100 years history serving food from the same location by the same Italian family. Great value breakfast and some of the best Ice cream in Glasgow. Even Anthony Bourdain has dined here, check his review on youtube...!

Tiny hole in wall place with only a few tables inside, serving funky Korean inspired dishes and classic staples like bibimbap and super crispy KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). Their homemade Kimchi made to an authentic generations old recipe learnt by the owner during travels across Korea.

Great Vietnamese food serving all the staples. The crispy rice paper spring rolls and rare beef pho with a rich smoky broth are particularly good. If its not raining, be brave, grab a table outside and enjoy an authentic Vietnamese drip coffee whilst watching everyone pass by.

Classic Indian dishes served tapas style. A friend once said this was as close to his moms home cooking your going to get in a Restaurant. Having tried both I agree with him.

They are the only place i know of that give you a spray bottle of whisky to puff over the freshly shucked oysters...

If your looking for a steak or Sunday roast this is the place for it. All beef is properly aged and on display in the fridge with a fine selection of whiskies and draft beers too.

Worth a visit for that special treat, particularly the lunch menu is a great deal as its reasonably priced for the quality. With many of the items being same as the main tasting menu and a better chance of getting a reservation.

Fantastic collection of all means of travel in a beautiful building by Zaha Hadid located on the banks of the Clyde. Must visit if only to see the original version of Glasgows famous subway from 100 years ago.

After a £68m renovation, this hidden gem won prestigious Museum of the year 2023 award. One of the best personal art collections by a single person in a beautiful idyllic park specially built after donating it to the city for everyone's pleasure.
The oriental section is particularly spectacular and still amazed how one person was able to collect so much in their lifetime.
Only place in the city where you can see real highland cattle up close grazing on the grounds. Well worth a wander whilst visiting the Burrell collection which is situated in the park..!
