Sightseeing
Our favorite hike on the island, about 1.6 miles and 1,000 feet of elevation gain to a spectacular viewpoint. You can go a couple miles further but there isn't much to see so we recommend turning around at the viewpoint for a 3.2 mile trip.

Easy wandering on footpaths through the fields and forest. Excellent blackberry picking when they're in season (late summer).

The name says it all. Park on the side of the road (Melcher) and walk down to the beach for an incredible sunset overlooking Rosario Strait and islands beyond.
