If you opted for pool heat (check full listing description at $15 per day), the pool will be heated to 88 and ready for your arrival. To operate the spa and pool lights, there is a remote control on the spa. Press the "spa mode" button to operate the spa, "heat" to heat the spa, "blower" for bubbles and "lights" for pool/spa lights. The spa takes about 30 minutes to heat to 102 degrees. When you are done with the spa, please hit "spa mode" to toggle the spa back into pool mode.

There's a little trick to lighting the fire pit. We will text you a video which shows how to light it. You need to use lighter which is in kitchen corner drawer. Call or text us if you need help!

We are often asked if guests should bring beach towels. There are plenty of pool/beach towels in the hallway closet (by the turtle bedroom). Each bathroom has towels and there are more in this closet if required.

Before you go grocery shopping, look online to see who the best BOGO deals for your needs. Can be quite a savings!

One of our favorite Saturday morning activities is heading to the farmer's market. This is where we buy our produce, seafood (Captain Gene), guacamole, chimi-churri, desserts, local gifts and so much more. There's live music and it's surrounded by a couple of local favorite restaurants with outdoor seating. Check out local favorites with a leisurely stroll around this market.

In the home, we have a high chair, porta crib and a gate. The pool does not have a fence so please be mindful of open doors to protect the safety of your children. We do supply life jackets and swim jackets in the master bedroom closet for your use. We have toddler grandchildren and know how fast they can move. Upstairs there is a foosball coffee table, an Xbox with some games and a wii with games. There are good old-fashioned board games and a couple of puzzles. We ask that before you leave, you check out this area to ensure the games are as you found them. Thank you!

Both AC units are new and work very well. The downstairs systems (there are two) need to be set to the same temperature for optimal operation. The home is set to 74 for your arrival. You have the power to change. Here's the caveat and a chance for us to sound like everyone's, at least our, dads- it's a home and not a refrigerator. If the system is on and in cooling mode, keep the doors closed. My father might have used stronger language, but I think we all understand. If the temperature is set below 70 and the system requires service, we will have to charge you and timing may be days.

There are two AC units upstairs. One is in the media room and the other is in the bedroom. Both have remotes (please keep where they belong). There are also ceiling fans which help circulate cool air.

We call this out because it's kids and it's a ladder. Caution! The ladder is a boat ladder (which is super fun and cute) AND requires an adult to operate to open and lower.

The place to have cocktails is out on the dock and when outside, please use the plastic cups, wine glasses etc we supply. Inside, there are wine, martini, margarita and beer glasses in the bar cabinet by wine fridge and in upper cabinet to the left of kitchen sink and maybe even some to the right of the kitchen sink. No judging ... we actually have too many for one cabinet lol That's right. I almost forgot to mention, there is a wine fridge! There's actually two. One up and one down.

We have an indoor gas fireplace. To light the fireplace, find the remote in the cabinet to the left of the fireplace. Push the on button and presto you have ambiance. It will heat the room so remember fireplaces and air conditioning is a weird combo ... you can switch off AC while enjoying your fire. IMPORTANT: Please remember to turn off the fireplace when done using it.

Due to Covid-19, we have had to modify check out to 10am. Please leave the home in good working order and lock up. If anything was broken or damaged, please let us know. We want to be sure the home is ready for our next guests. If you move furniture from its original spot, please move it back. Don’t forget to sign out of your Netflix, Hulu and Amazon accounts. Please sign the guestbook and leave any helpful hints you can for future guests. We also would very much appreciate you leaving a review when you have the chance.

We provide white trash bags for your use located in kitchen on shelving next to bins. Please be mindful and bring bags outside to barrels when full. Barrels are located on right side of garage (when facing garage from driveway) behind the gate. On Monday evening, please place these barrels on the grass near the street. On Tuesday, please return the empty barrels to their location. This schedule may shift slightly during holidays. We will provide updated schedule. You may notice that the barrels have waste from guests prior to you. This is a byproduct of staying in a vacation home.

We don't want you to be surprised by our maintenance team. We have pool maintenance weekly - usually Thursdays. Lawn maintenance weekly during the summer and bi-weekly in the winter months. We also have pest control monthly.

Please resist all urges to unplug, switch plugs or switch setting on all TVs. Especially upstairs with XBox and Wii. Please let your children know as well. Getting this back to normal remotely is IMPOSSIBLE -- trust us we tried. The Beach bedroom (downstairs corner) does not have DirecTV but it is a smart TV and works with all of your streaming apps. Just imagine your dad yelling "who touched the remotes". That's what Jeff sounds like when we have to reconfigure. Please. For my sake. Don't change any settings or cables.
