Vicenza is a medium-size city, but rich in history, art, and artisanship. The Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio (1508-1580) gave to the city several masterpieces, as the Palladian Basilica, La Rotonda, and the Olympic Theatre, just to cite some of them.
The Palladian Basilica, designed by Andrea Palladio and finished in 1614, is the symbol of Vicenza. It stands in Piazza dei Signori, the main square of the city, and frequently it accommodates exhibitions.
