The San Antonio zoo has come a long way in the years we have lived here. There has been a lot of updating over the last number of years and it is enjoyable for all. The walkways are shaded so even on a hot summer day it is comfortable. This is about a 10 minute drive from our home.

The River walk is loaded with restaurants and shops. The best way to access this area is to drive or Uber to River center Mall. Once out on the downtown streets just look for signs and stairways down to the river then have fun exploring! This area is about 15 minutes from our home.

It is well maintained and the city is currently expanding the grounds to make it more as it was when it was used for its original purpose. The Alamo is an easy walk from the River center Mall parking garage. There are also many parking lots in this area. The Alamo is about 15 minutes from our home.

Olmos basin is part of the Alamo City Golf Trail which is our municipal golf courses. There are a number of golf course in this system and we have played all of them. Affordable and fun!

This is our favorite municipal golf course and the closest to the house. His course was the original home to the first Texas open. Beautiful with lots of trees and easy to walk this course if you like. This course is within 10 minutes from the house.
