These are all places that we have eaten at and continue to patronize.

This is one of our favorite places to dine. Its just across the bridge in "downtown" Ft Walton Beach. Ali‘s Bistro has the best traditional Italian food in the area, along with fresh seafood, perfectly cooked steaks, and brick oven baked gourmet pizzas. Enjoy your favorite wines and cocktails from our full bar and finish off your meal with one of Ali’s fabulous desserts.

The Magnolia Grill, which sits on historic Brooks Street in downtown Ft. Walton Beach, is equal parts museum and dining establishment. The walls of this 1910 catalog house are covered with pieces of local history including photos of people and places that now only exist in the memories of those who grew up or lived here “back in the day.” The owners Tom and Peggy Rice are near natives with deep family roots that show at every turn. The Magnolia Grill epitomizes old-time Fort Walton. Climb the stairs on the front porch, step inside and immediately you’re immersed in local history. Some of the photographs and plaques on the deep green and pale gold walls tell the Rice Family history; other faded, black and white photos by the late Arturo Mennillo tell the story of a 40’s-era Fort Walton, before the condos, before the outlet malls, and especially before the gaudy and often cavernous T-shirt and souvenir stores. The Emerald Coast has been peopled by colorful characters and the Magnolia Grill preserves their stories for all to see. http://magnoliagrillfwb.com/

Carmen's family is from Bavaria and we know authentic German food - this is as close to dinner at a Bavarian Guest House as you'll get w/o taking a long flight across the pond.

Supermarket

You'll probably want a few groceries when you get into town and Publix is just 5 minutes away. Take a right out of The Azure, a left at the light, cross the bridge and it's immediately on your right.

Liquor Stores

While you're picking up groceries at Publix, you'll find Beach Liquors just across the parking lot. While you can walk to Cash's Liquors w/o crossing the bridge, I've saved $10 a bottle on finer rum and gin by driving 3 minutes.
