Uptown has a lot going on. It's a fun place to walk around and has just about anything you can imagine as far as food and drink. The younger crowd usually goes to the Epicentre.

For a relaxing day take a tour through the botanical gardens. It's not that far up I-85. I would suggest stopping in the town of Belmont for lunch at Sammy's.

If you're looking for a great place to hike with the best views of Charlotte this is the place. It's going to take about a half-hour to get there but it's worth it.

Great local place. Food and the scene is different but really good. Chicken and Peanut Butter sandwich? It's pretty good. And if you like Banana Pudding this is your place.
