Food scene

San Antonio has recently experienced a culinary re-birth, fueled by the opening of the second Culinary Institute of America campus at the Pearl near downtown. There are numerous fantastic places to eat, all conveniently located to Alma Vieja
A must-see in SA, the redeveloped Pearl Brewery is home to the Culinary Institute of America and delicately curated restaurants including some of the top-rated spots in SA! Our faves include Supper, Southerleigh and Cured. Check out local shops and the farmers’ market on the weekends. The stores and restaurants are all local here (no chains to be found) so if you’re looking for an authentic San Antonio experience, this is your place!

Great late-night entertainment and food choices. Catch live music from local and national bands at Paper Tiger or check out one of the various bars, from low-key Joey’s and Bombay Bicycle Club to more high-energy Brass Monkey and El Búho. El Milagrito has great traditional Tex-Mex while the Candlelight Coffee Shop features a brunch you don’t want to miss!
