From Vinewood it is a very pretty (& not too far) drive to get to the Birch if you follow Indian Hill Road. They have a lovely (& dog friendly) patio for al fresco dining and the food is great!

Three acre dog park with two ponds just minutes from Vinewood on Church Street in Newtown. Proof of vaccine and temperament test required. There is also a fee. But they serve drinks and there are food trucks nearby. Great fun.

If you need a nice peaceful place to walk and reconnect with nature turn left on Plainevile and right on Wooster. Take the first left when you see a sign for Carillon Tower. Go through your first stop sign and turn right at the second. Follow this street down to the end where you can park. Walk down the hill and through the tunnel and enjoy the trails! They all loop around and connect.
