Mamacita's proudly represents the architectural style of three great cultures: Persian, Spanish, and Mexican. In the 7th century Arabian horseman invaded north Africa and western Europe by way of Morocco, then becoming knowing as the "Moors". Bill and Jo Anna’s daughter, Jenny, and husband Steve, have taken over the reins managing the New Braunfels restaurant. Patrons enjoy the restaurant’s intimate booths, ornately stamped tin ceilings, and perfect lighting. In 2011, the Beens decided to make it easier for folks in San Antonio to partake in their wares by opening a second location in Alon Town Centre at the corner of NW Military Highway and Wurzbach Parkway. The new location’s more modern atmosphere is decidedly different as compared to the New Braunfels location – featuring a very large bar with outside seating, a dedicated wine room, and overall “Texas Modern” decor (you’ll have to see it to understand). However, while the Been’s restaurants both have tasteful, inviting ambiance, they are more famous for their steaks, wine and service. Recent accolades include: “Best Steakhouse 2016″ – San Antonio Magazine, “Diners’ Choice Winner 2016″ – OpenTable and Wine Spectator’s 2016 Award of Excellence.

During the 10-day festival, you’ll find a variety of entertainment, food and fun on the Wurstfest Grounds in Landa Park as well as many special events throughout New Braunfels and Comal County. The following guidelines will help get you prepared for fun at the festival. Did we miss something? DAILY OPERATING HOURS: Monday through Wednesday the gates open at 5:00 pm and entertainment ends at 10:00 pm. Thursday and Fridays the gates open at 5:00 pm and entertainment ends at 11:00 pm. Saturdays the gates open at 11:00 am and entertainment ends at 12:00 midnight. Sundays the gates open at 11:00 am and entertainment ends at 10:00 pm.

ADMISSIONS: Your admission charge includes access to all entertainment and access to public areas. Children 12 and under are always admitted free. For advance discount ticket purchase, group rate information and special day discounts, CLICK HERE. Admission is for the entire day. If you wish to leave the grounds and return later that same day, please be sure to have your hand stamped at the gate.
FOOD and DRINK: The backbone to any Bavarian celebration! Food and drinks are sold throughout the grounds. Visitors are prohibited from bringing food and beverages onto the festival grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, beer, wine and distilled spirits. Beer sales require tickets, but food vendors will accept cash. ATMs are available throughout the grounds. Drink tickets may also be purchased online by CLICKING HERE.
Please note that Credit/Debit Cards are accepted on a limited basis. Admission and drink ticket sales are by cash only.
SEATING: Seating is provided in all entertainment areas. Patrons may not bring personal seating (such as bag chairs) onto the festival grounds.
PROPER ATTIRE: Shirts and shoes are required attire for festival patrons. Dirndls, lederhosen and silly hats are encouraged. Smiles required.
RAIN: Wurstfest continues rain or shine, and no rain dates are scheduled.
PARKING: Parking in the area adjacent to the festival grounds is limited. A shuttle service may be available from local hotel, motel and resort facilities, as well as from some of the major attractions.

HANDICAP FACILITIES: Grounds are handicap accessible. Handicap parking is available in both the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club parking lots located on Landa Street across from Wurstfest Gate #1.
PETS and SERVICE ANIMALS: Only trained service animals will be allowed on the festival grounds. Please leave dogs and other pets at home as they may pose safety or health risks in such a crowded and stimulating environment.
FIRST AID: Emergency Medical Technicians are on duty on the festival grounds at all times. The First Aid Station is located on the south side of Das Grosse Zelt (The Big Tent). Check the map for the exact location.
LOST PEOPLE: A lost people post is located at the Information Booth. Members of the Wurstfest Association are on duty to provide assistance. No trail of bread crumbs is required for assistance.
ATM $$$: Automatic teller machines are located at Gate #1, Gate #3 and elsewhere on the festival grounds. The machines accept Visa, Master Card, Diners Club, Discover, American Express and all other Pulse cards. Admission and beer ticket sales are cash only, so stock up on greenbacks!
BAG SCREENING: To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees, all bags entering the festival will be subject to security screening. If possible, please travel lightly and leave your bags at home. Wurstfest is not responsible for items left in parked cars.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark (Two Water Parks in One)
At the center of Schlitterbahn there are miles of rivers. The waterpark started on the banks of the Comal River. Tube chutes, rides, tube slides, and pools use spring fed river water that always stays a cool 72 degrees and flows right back into the river. Ride our famous black tubes for hours in the Original Section featuring the iconic castle. Have a family picnic* at one of the shaded picnic tables found all around the park. Of course rivers are only the beginning. Only a short tram ride away within the Blastenhoff and Surfenburg sections, visitors to New Braunfels can ride a continuous wave on the Boogie Bahn, fly high on the Sky Coaster, tube on the Torrent wave river, and get rocketed uphill on the Master Blaster Water Coaster.
