Tahoe has attracted great chefs from around the world. You will find most places have wonderful food and moderately affordable pricing. Eat out some and enjoy the experiences.
Garwoods is great for outdoor dining, a busy spot with lots of people all the time. In winter the cozy fireplace in the bar allows for a quick warm-up after skiing. Often there is live music. In summer come by boat with free docking provided (tip the attendants!!) and sit inside or outside. Enjoy appetizers, a full bar, and $15-35.00 meals.

For a wonderful sit down restaurant with quick service, Las Panchitas is perfect. Very traditional Mexican/Latin American food is always served with a smile. The prices are great and kids love the food too. Traditional and special margaritas, beers from south of the border and inside or outside seating make this a favorite spot just 6 miles away in busy Kings Beach.

The North Tahoe Regional Park up National Ave in Tahoe Vista provides the best (and safest) sled hill in the region. Good parking, heated restrooms, sled rentals right on the site are perfect for several hours of fun in the snow.
Cross Country skiing is packed and groomed 2-3x a week for several miles of fun in an level to moderate choice of courses.
