This is a free public beach less than a mile from the house, you can walk (20ish min) or drive (3 min). There are two restaurants/bars right on the beach - Kokomo’s (not the best food but fun for a drink) or The Pavilion which has live music and great drink specials.

Harvey’s is a beautiful beach in Old Saybrook about 15 minutes away. There’s a very large sandbar that stretches out at low tide. Great for a beach day in the summer or a walk/picnic in the fall or winter
