Spanish Lookout is a predominantly Mennonite town. Another unique environment of Belize, the area is filled with corn fields, barns, and silos reminiscent of the Midwestern US. You can get ice cream at Western Dairy, visit the many local shops, and traverse the countryside to get a taste of the unique culture here. There’s also a great park with walking paths, a pond, and even some history-focused land art called Countryside park that is great to spend time at.

This is a great, undervisited Maya site right in San Ignacio. It is especially great during the rainy season when Xunantunich might be closed due to the river levels being too high.
