The park and ride bus stop is within an easy 5 min walking distance.
A walk into the city centre would take approx 30mins.
There is also a cycle route from the village to the city centre

if you dont mind heights you get a magnificent view of York from the Bell tower. Beware theres alot of steps and very narrow

A favourite of mine.
lovely tended gardens which are nice to relax in and have an ice cream. It is also where you will find st Mary's abbey ( I feel this is often overlooked in photos of the city) The Yorkshire museum is also here
