Botanical Garden
“The Japanese Tea Garden has a glorious history of over 90 years, from the time it was an operating rock quarry to today, as one of the most loved, educational and cultural resources in San Antonio. The quarry was shaped into a complex that included walkways, stone arch bridges, an island and a Japanese pavilion.”

“Great place to visit. It's not Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, but it's still beautiful and worth the trip.”

“UNESCO World Heritage Site San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is a must see. Don't just settle for the Alamo but also see Mission San Juan, Mission Concepcion, Mission Espada and Mission San Jose. These outposts were established by Catholic religious orders to spread Christianity among the local natives.”

“This is a 7 minute walk from the place. They have some recreated Texas landscapes, a magical children's area, and some old relocated limestone/timber cabins from the Hill Country. This is one of my favorite places to walk around. Admission fee for entry.”

“This is fun! You get to ride in your vehicle with the windows down feeding the wild life with a bag of food. We suggest either going in cooler weather or summer season before noon. It can become very crowded in afternoons and not many animals out during the day when it gets hot in the summer months. ”

“This spot is great for exercise but also, since it's on the river walk, you can walk to a mission, or find a spot to chill and have lunch. There's bike rentals near Halcyon (which is a good restaurant) at the Blue Star Brewery - which is a good place to park.”
