"Le Moulin Rouge" is a cozy, rustic, timber-frame chalet of ~800 sf of living space set in bucolic surroundings available for peaceful retreats.
Conveniently located in the Centre-du-Québec region near the historic village of Ulverton with Richmond and Drummondville also nearby, it's a 40 minute drive from Sherbrooke, 1 hour from Trois-Rivières, 1h20 from Montreal, 1h50 from Quebec City- and a quiet and affordable base for day trips to each of these cities on your tour of "La Belle Province"!

Whether surrounded by the birdsong, twinkling fireflies and lush vegetation of summer or the austere winter beauty of vast snowscapes and a sky full of stars with its complement, a warming fire glowing in the woodstove, this is an idyllic spot for a cozy couple's getaway, a tranquil weekend with friends, or solitude for contemplation and artistic pactice.
The main floor is comprised of an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen-dining area and fireside lounge area as well as a bathroom with shower stall. The master and 2nd bedrooms are upstairs.
*Note that the 2nd bedroom is reached via French doors from the master bedroom and has no windows of its own although windows are clearly visible through the French doors. A curtain can be drawn over the French doors to ensure privacy in the 2nd bedroom.
There is an abundance of windows throughout the rest of the house with the master bedroom offering a panoramic view of picturesque farmland. Each of the two floors is just over 400 square feet of living space.

Amenities Include:
wood-burning stove and logs; air conditioner and fan; fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven; gas BBQ; basic garden furniture, outdoor metal fire pit; board games, puzzles; one set snowshoes with poles; coffee, tea, herbal tea, salt, pepper, cooking oil, some condiments and spices.

Butcher shop, "La bouchée d'Or" in
Drummondville offers a variety of local products and prepared-in-shop ready meals.

Nearby OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES include:

-public beach on the St-Francis River in Drummondville. Located next to the Club de Voile, 2560 Blvd Allard. Beach open every day, 10am-8pm. 15 minutes drive.

Bonjour, Hi, Hej and Jo nápot!
I work mainly as a classical choral singer in Montreal but I'm from a rural background and I've loved both being in the country and hospitality since early adulthood- hence this airbnb listing! My first experiences in tourism included working at Old Fort Henry in Kingston, Ontario and hosting at a B&B, The Alexander Henry, a decommissioned Coast Guard ship. My interests include choral & classical music, film & theatre, and literature. With a background in both singing and theatre, I'm basically doomed never to have a 'real' job!
I hope you will find in this place a peaceful retreat, a setting for lots of laughs (and maybe music?), a romantic getaway- or some combination of the three!
