This 200sq ft. wheelchair friendly room features one queen sized bed and a kitchenette.

From your balcony overlooking the ocean you can watch for marine life and boats go by. We have no mosquitoes here so you can leave your patio door open and go to sleep with the sound of waves lapping on the beach and ocean breezes cooling your room at night. You don't need air conditioning- just open the door.

Pet friendly room! We have a $25 pet fee collected at the time of arrival.

Sointula is a historical Finnish village which means " Place of Harmony". We have a wonderful museum that explains our history and how we came to be. The island is surrounded by easy walking beaches and hiking trails from easy to more difficult as well as a lake to swim in. Bring your bike and cruise around the coastal roads! The perfect vacation getaway for solo travellers, couples, and families!

Due to Covid we are not doing daily housekeeping but will provide you with anything you need. Just ask.

We have great whale watching in this area and sports fishing. We can help arrange boat charters for full days of fishing or just going out for a wildlife cruise. Maybe you just want to catch some crab and have it for dinner. Let us know how we can make your stay here with us a memorable experience.

My husband, Ray, and I own The Oceanfront Hotel which is located off the north end of Vancouver Island. We have been the owners for over 30 years and we love where we live.

The Pacific Ocean is our backyard and the waves will , most certainly, lull you to sleep at night.

We love to fish, kayak & meet new people. Ray will happily take people fishing for salmon and halibut if you're lucky, maybe pick up the crab trap on the way home.

I am incredibly passionate about nature, art, and I love sharing where the best places to go on Malcolm Island are. I will do my best to tell you how to have a great time when they are here.
