As the centre of the village there are always many things occurring, as we say. The busy cafe and shop provide opportunities to meet the locals and learn more about the are and its fascinating history.

Our village is Y Fron, population 300. It was founded by slate quarry workers. The surrounding countryside is open access Common Land, upland heath, where sheep and cattle roam free. Wonderful country walks in every direction.

Happy participant in our community project which has renovated our old village school building (1844) creating a place for visitors to stay in our village hub, helping to regenerate the village and surrounding area.

Climbing Mount Snowdon, taking one of our 3 heritage steam railway trips, or engaging in more adventerous activities, such as the zip wire and bounce below experiences at ZIPWORLD or the boating adventures at Ribride are all closeby.
