LOCATION–FUN–NEW–CAJUN – this home is thoroughly sanitized after each use.

The entire house and yard are yours during your stay at the Cajun Country Cottage. The yard is fenced in and is pet friendly. The Cajun Cottage is centrally located in southeast Louisiana’s bayou country about 40 miles southwest of New Orleans. See my “Where Ya At?” section for distances to tourist destinations.  The Cajun Bayou Tourist Center is a few miles away and is a great start to help plan your local tour

Our home is located along Bayou Lafourche and owned by the Robichaux family. The Robichaux Cajun family came from Nova Scotia a couple hundred years ago and settled on this plot of land along Bayou Lafourche mainly as sugarcane farmers. The land near this home is still being used for sugarcane farming. My Robichaux grandparents only spoke Cajun French and my father spoke Cajun French and English fluently. Just a few miles from our cottage and online, visit Louisiana's Cajun Bayou Visitors Center https://www.lacajunbayou.com/about/visitor-info for information on tours offered in this area.
