Manifesting harmony with mother nature and escaping civilization to this incredible and peaceful getaway by reconnecting with nature and disconnect from technology. Solar panels and catchment water, that drenches you when showering, from mother earth. Calm your spirit and comfort your soul by pacifying your thirst for getting away from the matrix and freeing yourself yet, being close to everything.

المسكن
The Dreamy Tree House in Jungle is perfectly located to watch the landscape with a lanai view of the lush jungle that is changing before your very eyes. Upon arrival, you will arrive in front of a privately gated home with a lock box combination with the key inside. You will travel down a long private drive of black cinder fusing into red cinder that gradually leads you to your red cinder pathway through the jungle to your personal paradise. Upon entering you will notice l a large generous windows and lovely sliding doors allowing for natural sunlight.

Complementing the ocean blue siding exterior siding to the 1970s wallpaper Tahitian wallpaper in the bathroom, floor to ceiling horizontal glass plates open up the bathroom making you feel the open space and breeze on your face.
You will be refreshed by lush ferns & jungle surrounded by the pure energy of rain, animals, and plants. This is true off the grid living from the bird frog songs at night to catchment of water for your shower water as well as solar panels harvested from the Hawaii sun.
Just past the kitchen is a sliding door that accesses one of the most fun areas of the house: the bathroom. The bathroom jalousie windows stretch from the floor to the ceiling and the horizontal glass plates open up, creating an indoor-outdoor effect. Naturally caught rainwater cascades from the large shower head above before disappearing into the floor boards below. You'll notice that the natural theme spills over into the bathroom with sustainable cork board backing the shower and air plants intermittently growing throughout. The toilet and hand-made hammered copper and spill over faucet in the corner make use of grey water eco-principles by allowing you to wash your hands with fresh water before it goes on to fill the bowl.
One of the most fun aspects of this property is that it allows you the opportunity to experience true off-grid living without sacrificing any of the comforts of normal life. Natural lighting, solar power and rain water catchment are the three principles that have been integrated into this tree top design, making it almost like a living organism itself.
The chandelier, hanging lights, medium distressed copper sink and faucet and platform bed were all DIY projects that I specifically created and designed to enhance your experience. The siding along the pillars that create an enclosure the lanai and the moss carpet through- out the property were harvested from local areas on the Big Island.

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE MAKING A RESERVATION
Don't worry, the capital letters are just to emphasize importance. I'm not mad at you. But please read this entire section before making a reservation.
As lush and inviting as the Jungle Tropical Treehouse is, there are inevitable 'challenges' that come with staying in an off-grid treehouse in the Hawaiian jungle. My goal is to give you an experience that combines adventure and luxury so I want to make sure that you are aware of the following things:
1. The treehouse is about 6-feet off the ground and is only accessible by the front entry stairs for ease with luggage.
2. The running water comes from the rain falling on the roof and is not treated; therefore, the water is not potable. I will provide a large 5 gallon water bottle for you for drinking and cooking.
3. The electricity you use is generated by sunlight and is stored in a battery. Once the battery runs out of power it has to recharge. This shouldn’t happen but just be mindful not to leave lights or power hungry items running for extended periods of time (No hairdryers). The windows allow for plenty of light during the day. There is a back up generator for you to use, if needed.
4. This is the rainy side of the Big Island so expect some showers! Realize that the pitter-patter on the roof is the rain's first stop on its journey to the water tanks and then to your shower. Also notice how warm it is. Don't think of rain as a trip ruiner but instead an asset to be enjoyed!
5. There are bugs but this isn't the Amazon. For such a tropical climate you will be surprised at how few bugs there are. The main things you will see are moths, fruit flies (due to fruit falling off of the trees) and mosquitoes. Bug repellent is provided but it never hurts to bring your own. They really don't get that bad but their presence increases after a hard rain and during the twilight hours.
6. Noises. Living off-grid in the jungle also brings about its own set of noises. The water pump and solar inverter will make soft noises throughout the day as they are used. The falling fruit from the vivie trees can also be alarming if you don't know what it is, and at night you are going to be serenaded by the sweet chirping of coqui frogs. Rustling branches, grunts and squeals typically means that the cute family of wild pigs is nearby. 7. The" Ladder Stairs" to the loft are simple to climb but, there is a narrowing as you go up the space. Only those who believe they are physically capable should book a stay. There is a hand railing and none of my visitors have ever had a problem going up and down. Just remember to go up and down the stairs facing them... like a ladder!
All of these aspects are what makes this place so unique and, with the right mindset, they’ll only enhance your overall experience.
Guests have free range to fully utilize every aspect of the house. The two hanging beds on the patio and trees, large 20 x 14 porch, indoor-outdoor shower and two luggage racks are at your full disposal. I have recently installed a kitchenette that has a large farmhouse stainless steel sink, rolling cooler for storing food/drinks, and a coffee maker (also capable of heating up water). Any and all goodies stocked in the house are there for your enjoyment.
Here is a more comprehensive list of amenities and features that will be available to you:
•Indoor/Outdoor Shower
•Toilet with Overlaid Sink
•Organic Shampoo/Conditioner
•Towels
•Ample Parking
•‘Flashlights
• Two Hammock Hanging Beds

Guest interaction can be tailored to your needs. My goal is to make sure your stay is unforgettable so you can always contact me via phone or email. Because I do not live on the island year round, a local neighbor can assist you if you have any problems that need tending to. Upon your arrival I can arrange to have someone greet you and show you the property or simply stow away the key for your convenience. The choice, of course, is yours.
Even though I am not on site, I can always be reached. Feel free to call/text/email me at any time during your stay should the unlikely event that a problem arises. I will immediately contact the proper authority to have the problem remedied.
The treehouse is about 20 miles from Hilo, 23 miles from Pahoa, 12 miles from Keaau and 8 miles from Volcano. Volcano is the closest place for laundry, good restaurants and groceries, though you will pay a little more for the groceries than in Hilo or Keaau. I recommend you stop on your way in from Hilo. When you book I will include a guidebook that has the locations, hours and prices of local restaurants and grocery stores.
There is quick access to highway 11 and it is 10 miles from Volcanoes National Park. Numerous opportunities for sightseeing and adventures are within a 40 minute drive of this treehouse paradise and they will be included in my guest guidebook as well.
This is the ultimate spot for couples seeking romantic seclusion in the middle of a tropical jungle or individuals who want to escape the world.
Unless you feel like hitchhiking, you will definitely need a rental car with high ground clearance to comfortably explore the surrounding areas and access the treehouse. While nothing is 'far' on the big island, everything is just a bit out of reach by foot... except of course for those lovely, yet dense, jungle stroll.
The master bedroom contains 1 Queen bed with and a full-size bathroom, and the downstairs sitting area and bistro set. The house features window views of the nature of a tropical garden on the property. Moreover, the full windows and doors have a one sided tint. for complete privacy. You can see out but not in, as it has a mirror effect.
Use of the simplified home with a kitchen, tropical gardens, living and dining room area are all included. A simplified home with everything you need to make a home base while on your Big Island adventure. The beauty of this experience lies in seeing infinite views and yet no trace of humankind. Sleeping with the doors open, under the milky-way.
Reconnect with nature and disconnect from technology :-) Many things to do and see like, such as hiking, swimming, mountain biking, wine tasting, or farm tours and enjoy the no noise, no traffic, no people, no light pollution. The silence achieved by having no freeways near by or how many stars are visible without city lights diluting the night sky is just amazing.

أشياء أخرى يجب ملاحظتها
Please note this is OFF THE GRID LIVING there is a cooler for your food and drinks There is no refrigerator. You MUST Conserve Energy and Water by not using blow dyers, curling irons or any other major draining items. Here you'll find 150 miles of hiking trails through volcanic craters, scalded deserts, and rain forests as well as a museum, petroglyphs, a walk-in lava tube and two active volcanoes: Maunaloa, which last erupted in 1984 and Kilauea which has been erupting since January 3rd, 1983. The extraordinary natural diversity of the park was recognized in 1980 when it was named a World Biosphere site by UNESCO and in 1987 when the park was again honored as a World Heritage site.

Here are other essential Park attractions:
Kilauea Visitor Center
Open daily: 7:45 am to 5 pm
Begin your visit at the Kilauea Visitor Center where you can watch an hourly film from 9 am to 4 pm to introduce you to the park. Ranger talks are offered and ranger-guided activities can be scheduled. Pick up maps, learn about the park's hikes and get the latest eruption updates here.

Crater Rim Drive
Crater Rim Drive is the 10.6-mile drive that circles Kilauea Caldera. Driving around this loop will take you to the park's main attractions: the Kilauea overlook, Jaggar Museum, Halemaumau Crater, Devastation Trail, Kilauea Iki Crater Overlook and the Thurston Lava Tube.
Thomas A. Jaggar Museum
Open daily: 8:30 am to 5 pm
Thomas A. Jaggar pioneered the study of volcanology here at Kilauea. Here you can find geologic displays, maps, and videos about the study of volcanoes.
Halemaumau Crater
Steam vents plume from this massive crater, known as the home of Pele, the volcano goddess. In 1967, this crater was filled with a lake of lava that eventually drained away. Great respect should be paid at this sacred site.
Thurston Lava Tube (Nahuku)
Walk through a 500-year old lava cave formed when an underground channel of molten lava drained from its cooled walls forming a massive, hollow chamber. A tropical rainforest awaits you at the end of the tube.
Puu Oo Vent
Currently, Kilauea's lava activity isn't centered in its caldera (the large depression at the top of the volcano) but at the Puu Oo vent in the East Rift Zone. Puu Oo's lava flood underground tubes that empty dramatically into the sea. You can watch this spectacle at the end of Chain of Craters Road or get a closer look from the new Kalapana viewing site outside the park.
Chain of Craters Road
Ranger station open daily: 10:00 am to 9 pm
Veering south of Crater Rim Drive is Chain of Craters Road. This 3,700-foot drive eventually ends where a lava flow has literally overtaken the road.
Volcano House
The Volcano House hotel overlooking Halemaumau Crater has been operating since it was a grass shack in 1846. Even Mark Twain once stayed here on his visit to Hawaii. The hotel has recently undergone renovations and is open under new management.

Be prepared on your visit. Bring food and water since there are no facilities in the park. Dress appropriately in shoes, long pants, and a jacket. Bring binoculars and a flashlight at night. And don't forget your camera.
For your safety, please stay on marked routes, heed all warning signs, and stay out of restricted areas. There is a danger of harmful volcanic gases and unstable land in these areas.
It is about a 15-minute drive to the beautiful Story Book Volcano Village, Volcanoes National Park, Tasty Cuisine Restaurants and lovely Art Gallery. Location Location Location- Located at the halfway point to Volcano and main Town.
**Please note it gets really chilly in the evening/mornings so cozy PJ'S are recommended, I provide warm robes and lots of blankets as well**
Uniquely designed for the INTREPID & Adventurous on the Road Less Traveled. Eco Hale enkindles nature lovers, romantics, retreat seekers, adventurers & kind souls. 1 Acre, Secure, gated, solar power comfort & peace. East Hawaii, Puna triangle, no 4-W needed. Volcano, lava, nature, hikes, Furo, stars, birds & sun.
During your stay, you will find yourself surrounded by gigantic prehistoric ferns and the sound of birds found nowhere else in the world.
Remember to bring warm clothes. The Volcano can get a bit chilly at night and you don't want to miss the nighttime lava viewing in the park! This area of Hawaii relies on rainwater and while the water is potable, you might prefer bottled. You may want to purchase water, snacks or food in Kona or Hilo as the two small groceries in Volcano have limited choices.

The Surf Cottage home is located in Mountain View, Hawaii, United States.
The treehouse is located at the end of a neighborhood street making it very private. It is set about 50 yards off the street behind a windy, jungle path further adding to your privacy. There are only about two full time neighbors scattered throughout the neighborhood so don't expect to see a lot of people.
The treehouse is about 20 miles from Hilo, 23 miles from Pahoa, 12 miles from Keaau and 8 miles from Volcano. Keauu is the closest place for laundry, good restaurants and groceries.
