Loons live here. Bald eagles do too. You should see/hear loons every night. If you observe carefully you may see the bald eagles one or more times a week in daylight too.

Weather conditions and contract workforce schedules permitting, there is installed a semi-private dock with two 3000 lb covered boat lifts. Owner uses one of the two boat lifts for owner's boat. Owner and owner's family will occasionally access the dock and use the dock and owner's boat lift.

Supplied with Old Town Canoe and Lund 14' fishing boat. Outboard motor is not supplied. Guest must supply their own motor if one is desired. No greater than 10 HP if brought with the guest.

Property has a security system including (24 hr X 365 day/night) recorded exterior video surveillance.

Not fully handicap accessible: One step up at entrance. One step down between most of the house and just the living area. 10 steps down to lake in front of house. THE LAKE IS ACCESSIBLE VIA A GENTLY SLOPED LAKE SHORELINE, IF NOT ABLE TO ACCESS THE STEPS. The interior doors are generally 30 in. width. No ramps are provided.

Premier Kitchen! 60 in. Wolf Dual Fuel Range w/griddle, two ovens, and grill. Subzero 36' refrig and 36' freezer. Large island with seating. Dual Bosch dishwashers. XL Triple sink. Separate single wok burner.

Gentle slopes and sandy weed-less lake bottom. Sandy gentle slope shoreline. Lakeshore and dock area visible from interior of house kitchen, dining, and living areas. As with all homes there are hazards inherent in any property. Parents assume full responsibility for inspecting property for hazards to their children and managing their children and those conditions while they are present to safeguard the health , safety, and welfare of their guests, children, and pets. Renter assumes all responsibility for damage that children may cause. Video surveillance of property. Notify owner immediately if there are any unexpected hazards in or on the property.

Master Bath with separate tub and shower. Guest bath is three quarter bath with shower only, and no tub. All granite and tile. Custom cabintry and fixtures. Heated floors.

House was built new in 2013. Roomy 3 bedroom and two bath cottage. Full laundry. Full living area with separate kitchen and dining spaces. Beautiful bright sunroom sitting area overlooking the lake and beach immediately in front of the house. Spaces flow comfortably together so no one is left out but there are lots of nooks for quiet reading or work. Thoughtfully designed and highly functional house with top quality commercial grade gourmet kitchen. Natural sunlight throughout with plentiful glass for view out to the lake as well as surrounding woodlands. Bedrooms have full closet and dressers. Master bedroom has ensuite bathroom. Sleeping loft has areas for older children or adult guests. Spent four years designing and preparing to build this. Corrected all of the flaws in our previous home and then some.

Lived on this lake every summer for 70 years. Family on this lake for 100 years. Love it summer or winter! Our family also owns the house next door to the north and the lot between the two houses.

My grandfather bought the property next door to the north shortly after he returned from World War I about 1925 and then built on of the earliest houses on this lake in 1926. The original rustic log cabin was replaced by the current existing next door house in 1946, right after World War II. My parents honeymooned at that home in 1947. I visited this lake for the first time in the summer of 1950 two weeks after I was born. I have been here numerous times in each year between then and now.

I bought the property where my current home resides in 1993. It was the fourth time that the property had been for sale since a small frame home had been built upon it in 1926 by an aging German bachelor who was also a master carpenter. The carpenter retired to this property in the 1940's. I knew this gentleman very well. I hunted and fished with him and my grandfather on and around the lake. He owned the property and lived there most of the time until his death in 1965. He left the property to his cousin. The cousin eventually sold the property and a sequence of owners enjoyed the lake and that same original house until 1993. I bought the property in 1993 and modestly improved and remodeled the original house several times. That sequence of efforts evolved over years into the net very substantial upgrade that is this current newly built home.

My grandfather passed away in 1962. My grandmother passed in 1988. My mother passed in 1992. My father passed in 2011.

The property to the north remains today in the hands of my brothers. Between us we have 9 children all of whom routinely visit and stay at our homes on Horseshoe Lake. My brothers and I have planned for and hope to pass these wonderful living spots along to our children and are now well prepared to do so, when the time is appropriate

Loons live here 8 months of the year. They will be out almost every night in spring, summer, and fall (when lake is ice free)

The Northern Lights can sometimes be seen in the late evenings with all exterior lights off

Mature lawn and stone pathways around house, and out to the garage and roadway

2 mile walking trail in woods across the access road behind the garage

Terraced outdoor patio with fire pit. Renters must provide their own firewood. DO NOT remove wood piled on any adjacent property

Weber gas grill is available and Weber kettle style charcoal grill. Renter provides additional fuel, if fuel is expended.

Dock and boat lift available seasonable weather permitting. Generally dock will be installed by late April and taken out in early October. There are exceptions to these general dates depending on when ice comes out in the early summer and when the weather turns cooler in the fall. There are times when the dock has not been installed until mid/late May and removed before late September.

This is a small pristine spring fed lake water. Low boating traffic on the lake nearly all of the time as compared to White Fish Chain, Gull Lake, Ten Mile Lake, Leech Lake, etc. More suitable for families in some ways. More suitable for age-appropriate children venturing out on their own activities just due to the low traffic. Better wake boarding and water skiing due to low wave height and quiet boating conditions. Many bays on the lake. Always a calm spot for trick skiing and trick wakeboarding/surfing. Generally good fishing. Often good brem/sunfish and bass fishing right from the dock.

I have a lady that works for me part time and she is usually (but not always) available in less than one day if I am notified of a specific need. She may sometimes be available in less than one hour.

My brothers and I may sometimes be present at the house next door to the north. I may sometimes be present in the apt above the garage. I may sometimes be present in the basement of this house.

I retain access to the basement at all times, and to the garage at all times. The guests never have access to the basement or any part of the garage.
