Spacious guest house with access to the beautiful James River. 2 bed, 1 bath with room to spare. Offers a complete kitchen and a washer/dryer unit for your convenience. Includes access to a stunning swimming pool and can't beat river views from the dock. Great for couples and families looking for a scenic and secluded place to stay near Wmbsg.

المسكن
The Guesthouse is on the second floor of a beautiful stand-alone structure in historic Williamsburg, Virginia. The house was designed as a guest house and a lot of effort has been put into creating a place that's welcoming, beautiful, and fun!

There's a queen-sized bed in the master bedroom. The secondary bedroom has a twin bed and a twin trundle. The living room has two comfy sofas as well. All the linens and towels are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, oven, microwave, and coffee maker.

A washer/dryer is available off the bath.

إمكانية وصول الضيف
Our family doesn’t live in the guest house. It’s yours to enjoy fully. You can relax on the front lawn, take a dip in the pool, or take in the views of the Chickahominy river from the dock…whatever strikes your fancy!

أشياء أخرى يجب ملاحظتها
The house is not baby-proofed. We have hosted families with little ones, but the house is probably best suited to kids 3 years and older.

The stairs are steep and can be challenging for little ones and older folks.

Unfortunately, the guesthouse does not have WiFi and very limited
TV. We hope you can disconnect, relax and enjoy your time away.

When inquiring, please tell me a little bit about yourself, the purpose of your visit, and any special needs or requests.

There are endless things to see and do in our historic hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia. We've noted some of our favorites below :)

RECOMMENDATIONS

Colonial Williamsburg: You can’t come to Williamsburg without making your way to Colonial Williamsburg! Colonial Williamsburg is a living history museum. As you walk through CW (as the locals call it), you’ll encounter animated interpreters dressed in colonial garb who will happily tell you about themselves and their role in city (each interpreter plays a real person from the colonial period). Touring the historic homes, buildings, and shops you really begin to get a sense of what it was like to live in the time of the American Revolution. Even for the non-history buffs, it’s pretty cool!

Ghost Tours: If you are looking for a night of fright, we recommend taking a ghost tour in Colonial Williamsburg. There are several local companies that offer tours, so you will have no problem finding a tour that meets your schedule and your scare tolerance. We’ve tried “Colonial Ghost Tours” and would give it a 3/10 on the spook scale.

Jamestown Settlement: Visiting Jamestown Settlement is another Williamsburg activity that is both educational and seriously fun. Jamestown transports you back in time to the 17th century, showing you what life was like in the first permanent American colony. Explore the settlers’ living quarters, try your hand at Powhatan cooking, and even learn about the real Pocahontas. (Hint hint, Disney didn’t get everything right).

Busch Gardens: Busch Gardens has been awarded The World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park for 26 consecutive years, and from the moment you arrive, you’ll see why. The park has something for everyone, seriously! From coasters with impressive drops to theatrical performances to wild animal shows, Busch Gardens is great for the entire family. We are huge fans of the park’s newest coaster, the Griffin.

Water Country USA: Love water rides? Then Water Country USA is your spot. This mammoth water park offers 43 acres of aquatic fun. We recommend bringing extra sunscreen and sandals/water shoes so you can explore the park as much as possible. (Sun burn + hot concrete floors = not great)

Go Ape Ziplining + Ropes Course: Our family loves to get the adrenaline pumping. If you’re the same, we highly recommend making the trip to Go Ape. Go Ape offers zip lines, obstacle courses, and other outdoor activities for the whole family. Have little ones? Don’t worry, they can take advantage of the junior courses! (URL HIDDEN)

Williamsburg Winery: If you are a lover of wine, you must spend some time at the Williamsburg Winery. This local vineyard offers tours, in which the knowledgeable guides teach you all about the wine making process, and of course, tastings. We hear the servers are known to give generous pours :)

Movie Tavern: Cinephiles and foodies rejoice! Williamsburg has a luxury movie theater that happens to serve delicious food right to your seat. Our family loves to go to Movie Tavern on Saturday and Sunday mornings to take advantage of their “Flapjacks and a Flick” events. Watching a movie and eating pancakes is a great way to start the day.

The Prime Outlets: And of course, shopping! If you approach bargain hunting like a competitive sport, then the Prime Outlets are just the place for you. There are tons of shops (Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Nike, J.Crew just to name a few) and you are sure to find some great deals! Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so patience is key!

Our favorite local restaurants:

Food for Thought: Food for Thought is a local favorite that serves up new takes on traditional American favorites. We love the Cilantro Lime Chicken and the sweet potato corn bread. While they don’t do reservations, you can call ahead for priority seating, which we highly recommend.

1647 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Hours of operation: 11am-9pm Monday-Friday, 8am-9pm, Saturday-Sunday

The Cheese Shop: The Cheese Shop is home to the best sandwiches in town hands down. No matter what sandwich you choose, we highly highly recommend adding the house drinking. It’s dangerously good! Additionally, if you are in a hurry, call ahead with your order. You can skip the line and pick up your sandwiches from their outside window.

410 West Duke of Gloucester Street, Williamsburg VA 23185
Hours of operation: 10am-7pm daily

Carrot Tree: Kitchen A homespun southern restaurant with charm to spare, Carrot Tree serves delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. In our humble opinions though, the real reason to go is for the desserts! We think they happen to have the best carrot cake on the planet.

1303 Jamestown Rd #135, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Hours of operation: 8am-6pm Monday-Saturday, 8am-4pm Sunday

Aroma’s: Aroma’s is the best place in town to enjoy a cup of coffee and people. This local favorite has a great menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

431 Prince George Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Hours of operation: 7am-10pm Monday-Saturday, 9am-6pm Sunday

Lokal: Right next door to Aroma’s you’ll find Lokal, a brand new healthy cafe. Every day, the team there makes fresh frozen yogurt using all natural ingredients. If it’s on the menu (flavors change daily!), we can’t recommend the Pomegranate Raspberry enough.

445 Prince George Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Hours of operation: 11am-7pm Sunday-Wednesday, 11am-9pm Thursday-Saturday

Craft 31: Looking for the best burger in town? Head to Craft 31, the new burger and brew joint in town. Vegetarians rejoice! The Craft 31 veggie burger is one of our absolute favorites.

3701 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Hours of operation: 11am-10pm Monday-Thursday, 11am-11pm Friday-Saturday, 11am-9m Sunday

Paul’s Deli: This deli is a veritable Williamsburg institution. Located in the heart of Williamsburg, Paul’s serves us delicious deli fare. Paul’s is a great place to grab a beer with friends and watch a sports game.

761 Scotland Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Hours of operation: 10am-2am daily
