This guest house is born from our inspiration and hands, and is well equipped for an off-grid (water+power provided by nature) farm life. We are close to the ocean, about 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk. You can hear the winter humpback whales on quiet nights jump and slap their tales which is fun. 20 minutes from Pahoa; 50 mins from Hilo; 50 mins from Volcano National Park

You’ll love the semi-outdoor shower with screens to keep out any bugs or critters, and the patio kitchenette is a great place to relax and enjoy brunch, a cocktail, or a brunch cocktail! The Cottages At Volcano - Hale Alala

Surrounded by the rainforest of Volcano and situated just outside of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, our cozy cottage offers a welcoming place for some rest and relaxation between adventures. Hale 'Alalā is named after the highly endangered hawaiian crow whose reintroduction efforts have been focused on the forests around Volcano. While there are no longer any Alalā living in the wild, you can see a pair of live Alalā just down the road at the Panaewa Zoo (free admission).
