Cheerful 3 bedroom cottage on the Allegheny River

We built the summer cottage in 2006, for a summer home stayed on. We lived in the cottage 8 years when we wanted a bigger house. We love it year around. We are isolated with 3 neighbors (not close) and the river at our front door. Good boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming , hiking, bird watching (with a eagle nest across the river). December through February, it is best if you come with 4 wheel drive. Having said that , we keep the road plowed and the hill sanded.

Canoe and kayak rentals available nearby or bring your own and take them out on my riverfront property. Walk or ride your bike on the rails to trails 3 mile walkway to Foxburg or go much further on other trails in Emlenton. Explore my 39 acres of woods with deer, fox, wild turkeys, bear, etc. Explore the four old logging paths.

We have created a private two-story, two bedroom retreat within the main home, separate entrance and amenities included. Take in the beautiful views of 2024's River of the Year & The Allegheny National Forest while enjoying your morning cup of coffee on our private dock. Hop on a bike or take a scenic stroll along the river and finish the evening cozied up by the fire under the night sky.

This spacious home offers a peaceful getaway on the outskirts of town with a birds eye view of the Allegheny River. You will find easy access to many water activities and just a stone throw away is a public boat launch and dock. Allowing you and other guests to take a quiet stroll to see the white swans along the river.
