Our exploration will involve memorials, monuments and graves, along with churches and parks. Canoe Berlin
Join me for a canoe trip through the heart of Kreuzberg, one of the city’s most fascinating and diverse neighbourhoods. The trail between Urbanhafen and Oberschleuse offers many highlights. As we traverse the historic Landwehr canal and continue right up to an exceptionally beautiful part of the River Spree, you’ll soak up the mood of this open-minded, multicultural and alternative part of the city. Beginning at the harbour of the Urbanhafen, we’ll pass under the Admiral Bridge, paddle past the Turkish market, continuing via the canal through residential, urban and nightlife-rich areas till we reach the Spree. Other things to note I recommend everyone wears a hat and sunscreen. If you are prone to burning, long sleeves too!
Explore Berlin craft beer culture
Hey everyone, the tour is back with a few new beers, one new venue, and a whole lot of passion to share! You'll meet up outside of a nearby subway station in the East Berlin neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg and get to know each other before heading to a popular craft brewery nestled inside of one of Berlin's most historic breweries from 1893. You'll have the chance to inspect some brewing kettles and understand the brewing process while learning the basics of beer tasting and beer history, including the German Beer Purity Law. All while drinking a Berlin-style Hefeweizen! Then you will have the chance to get a "wegbier" while you explore the site of, arguably, Old Berlin's most influential brewery. Next, you'll stop at Berlin's only burlesque craft beer bar for a flight of local brews before finally stopping at our favorite craft beer bar in the neighborhood, right next to Berlin's famous Mauerpark. Both guides have been involved in the Berlin craft beer scene for the last 4 years and come with a wealth of insight! So, don't be afraid to ask questions! Other things to note: There are one set of stairs where wheelchair access is difficult, but doable. Spanish tours are offered, but please send a private message.

Please click on "See more dates" in order to see the language hosted per instance. Berlin is an exciting and quirky collage, an eclectic and edgy mix full of contradictions. Every historical era has had its share of destruction, both intentional and otherwise, leaving behind opportunities to rebuild. This happened both with style and modernity, and often with unusual utopian ideals, making Berlin what it is today. We ride through 800 years of Berlin history: from historic to modern aspects, where the renowned and the questionable come together to create a city unlike any other. This bike tour is the perfect way to get to know Berlin. With an interesting mix of entertainment and information, we bring you closer to many complicated and significant topics with ease. Other things to note We leave at 10.30 am! Please be here 15 minutes prior to the tour, so we have time to get you on a bike and start the tour on time. If more than 12 people on the same tour, we split up & have 2 guides.

English Comedy Show on a boat
So, here's the plan: You get to become part of one of the biggest and most fun stand comedy shows in English in Berlin! And it's all on a boat! It's a fun, vibrant, energetic and friendly show - EVERY Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We'll have pre-show drinks and then enjoy a great line up of Open Mic comics doing 5-7 minutes of material and an awesome headliner to top it all off. After that we'll have some relaxed drinks at the bar where we mingle and you get to know the comics and the other people joining the experience in a more private setting. So, ask all those questions you've had but never dared to ask about comedy. Other things to note You can smoke on deck, but not in the bar. The bar is cash-only, so they don't accept cards. And they only serve snacks, but there's plenty of restaurants and bistros nearby. If you ever find one of the experiences as fully booked, consider joining us the night before or after. We also run other shows - in fact, we have a show every night of the week - you can find the others (not on the boat), here: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/experiences/1002772

Jewish places and stories
We’ll walk around the “Jewish” sector of Mitte, recalling stories and visiting places related to the absence and presence of Jewish life in Berlin. We’ll see how the stories of Berlin’s Jews shape the present of the city and help to understand how Germany recreated itself after destroying one of its most important minorities. This experience is not a passive lecture, so I invite you to participate imagining, talking and asking - all the why? and how? you feel asking -, so that you can take your own lessons and thoughts about the stories and interpretations I will share.
